How long does it take for CBD vapes to take effect?
This is not a straightforward question to answer as everybody absorbs CBD into the body at different rates. There are numerous different factors at play here which will affect the rate of absorption (known as bioavailability).
The weight of the user and the dosage, strength and quality of the product all have an impact on bioavailability. As vaping goes straight into the bloodstream via the lungs, its effects can usually be felt much more quickly than by oral drops or topical creams. Therefore, people can usually feel the effects of CBD within a matter of minutes.
What is CBD vape juice?
CBD vape juices are the most effective way of absorbing CBD into the body. They are simply a CBD-containing e-liquid that can be vaped, in much the same way that people vape nicotine.
Our liquids consist of a Propylene glycol (PG) and Glycerin (VG) base, which we then add CBD to, along with our high quality flavourings, to produce a great tasting, highly effective product.
How does vaping work?
Vaping works by heating an e-liquid/vape juice enough for it to be aerosolized so that the user can inhale the vapour.
The devices or vape pens/kits contain a coil that will heat the liquid to approx. 200°C - 250°C. The liquid itself is usually composed of Propylene glycol (PG), Glycerin (VG), CBD and flavourings.
Is CBD vaping effective?
Vaping is the most efficient way to absorb CBD into the body.
The bioavailability is higher than other routes of administration such as sublingual (oral drops) and topical (skin creams/balms). However, we would not encourage non-smokers/non-vapers to begin vaping and so other products may be more suitable.
How long does CBD vape oil last?
As above, this very much depends on how the individual user metabolises CBD.
However, due to its rapid absorption, the effects of CBD vape oil are fairly short lived (2-3 hours) when compared to some of the much longer lasting routes of administration (such as edibles).
Nevertheless, people who vape tend to do so regularly throughout the day and so the effects will be regularly enhanced after each vaping session.
What strength of CBD vape juice should I buy?
As each individual person is different, it is not easy for us to advise on the most appropriate strength. However, a sensible option for new users is to start at the lower strengths of CBD Vape Juice.
Over time, you can then increase your strength and find out which is the optimum strength of vape juice for your personal needs.
How long will a bottle of CBD e-liquid last?
There are many variables to consider when working out how long a CBD e-liquid bottle will last. The device used will have a significant effect on this due to variable power settings and coil resistances.
However, a reasonable estimate is that a 10ml bottle of CBD e-liquid will contain approximately 1000 puffs. This would be equivalent to 100 cigarettes worth of puffs/inhalations.
How does vaping CBD make you feel?
Vaping is an incredibly quick and efficient way to feel the effects of CBD. Users report feelings of calmness and relaxation. However, it is also important to understand that due to the lack of THC, these products do not make the user feel ‘high’.
CBD vape juice is also commonly used by people with sleep issues. Vaping CBD at night can have a sedative effect and help to bring on a feeling of sleepiness.
How to vape CBD?
Our CBD e-liquids are formulated with an 80:20 PG/VG ratio. This allows us to strike the perfect balance between CBD delivery and a great tasting vape juice. The 80:20 PG/VG ratio is also best suited to low power devices (below 15w) such as pod devices and vape pens.
Is Vaping Safe?
It is important to understand that vaping is still a fairly new phenomenon, and the industry is still in its infancy. However, it is well understood that when compared to smoking cigarettes, vape products produce far less of the harmful chemicals usually present in cigarettes.
Following an independent review, Public Health England concluded that "e-cigarettes are around 95% less harmful than tobacco (cigarettes)". Vape products are seen as a reduced risk alternative for smokers and we would not encourage non-smokers to take up vaping.
