Product Overview

Known as the “mother” cannabinoid, CBG (cannabigerol) is the original molecule found within the cannabis plant which over 100 other cannabinoids derive from, including CBD. Harvesting early lets you take advantage of this potent plant extract to support a healthy lifestyle.

Although a recent discovery, promising studies highlight its anti-inflammatory properties [1] and how CBG interacts directly with both of our CB1 and CB2 receptors [2] for a more powerful effect on the endocannabinoid system and its essential processes – mood, appetite, sleep and pain – vs CBD.

Our 10% CBG oil is combined with only organic MCT carrier oil, guaranteeing raw, effective, and THC-free benefits, with each natural ingredient third-party lab tested for certified quality and safety.

What is CBG oil and how does it differ from CBD oil?

CBG (cannabigerol) is often called the 'mother cannabinoid' because other cannabinoids like CBD and THC are biosynthesised from CBGA (its acidic form). Like CBD, CBG is non-psychoactive and contains undetectable levels of THC. CBG binds more directly to CB1 and CB2 receptors in the endocannabinoid system, and may have more energising and focus-supporting properties compared to CBD's typically calming effects.

What are the potential benefits of CBG oil?

Research into CBG is still emerging but early studies and user reports suggest potential benefits including: neuroprotective effects, support for focus and mental clarity, anti-inflammatory properties, potential support for eye health (intraocular pressure), and antimicrobial properties. CBG is thought to work well in combination with CBD through the entourage effect.

How do I use CBG oil and how much should I take?

CBG oil is typically taken sublingually (under the tongue) — hold for 60–90 seconds before swallowing for best absorption. Start with the lowest recommended dose on the packaging and assess after 1–2 weeks before adjusting. The maximum recommended daily intake is 70mg cannabinoids from all sources combined.

Is CBG oil legal in New Zealand?

Naturecan's CBG oil contains undetectable levels of THC (0.0%) and is made from broad-spectrum hemp extract. It is non-psychoactive. Always check current local regulations as cannabinoid product laws can evolve. Naturecan ensures all products meet the legal requirements of markets where they are sold.
